I even have a habit of reading poems in my head that way too. Oops
It even takes on the voice of a specific spoken word artist . Cool right?
Anyways, the thing with spoken word is that you can re watch it over and over and over again hearing each word enunciated perfectly over and over again the punch line hitting you just as hard over and over again. Its magic
Often times, I'm filled with this warm and fuzzy feeling I just cannot put into words. It simply has to be felt. Well, maybe this might put it into internet context for everyone to understand better.
YUP. It's that good. ESPECIALLY SARAH KAY AND PHIL KAYE. They are my absolute favourites and I am very proud to say that I have seen them perform live and met them. It was one of the most well spent 2 hours
I don't know why but I've recently realised that I quote sarah kay and phil kaye a lot very naturally. It's kind of scary. As far as I know there are only 3 people in this world I can quote their poetry by heart. Only 3. They are special. Hehe
Lets make this blog post even longer by ME sharing with you some of these instances. sighs...
So the other day I got laughed at in class for reading in a weird way. Geez. I get it man.... and yeah I was kind of bummed. BUT THEN. The thing that came to my mind was this line from the Origin story by S and P kay. " When they make fun of your accent, I'll take you swimming because we all sound the same underwater"

Its so sweet right? I've always wanted someone to say that to me. Never going to happen but you know what. I'll just watch it in replay. hehe.
OH OH and the other incident. Was when my math teacher was telling the class that practice makes perfect, Well..... I kinda was too high and said NO. then whispered to my deskmate "practice doesn't make perfect, it makes permanent" ~sarah kay
